Internship with Accord Productions

Miami Swim Week
Miami Swim Week is an annual fashion show. I was so grateful to be able to interview designers and models behind the scenes of the show. Before conducting interviews, I researched each brand and designer, creating a series of interview questions to use the day of the event!

Best of the Beach: Weird Foods Edition
This series was really fun to produce. It began as an idea that my colleague and I came up with. We wanted to showcase places to eat around Miami, with a unique twist! The television channel we produced the video for, The Beach Channel, specializes in dining, events and shopping. The process of making these videos involved organizing shoots with local restaurants and business owners, which meant many phone calls, messages exchanged over Instagram and other platforms.
My involvement in the project also involved writing scripts for each location based on the sequence of events we wanted to film. I learned how to help coordinate multiple teams while sticking to a schedule and getting enough content to capture our original vision.
Journalism Work
During one of my classes at Stanford, Advanced Digital Journalism, I was able to work with a fellow student, and good friend, Vivian Leilani Shay, to produce a short profile on the challenges and rewards of performing as a dancer during college.
This experience allowed me to develop my interviewing, filming and editing skills while learning more about the equipment used for in person interviews and creative projects!
Social Media Internship with Hawaii State Parks

My internship at Hawaii State Parks gave me experience creating a social media calendar, and experience creating content. I helped produce a safety video for Diamond Head State Park along with the head park ranger. I also helped present at the Annual Conservation Conference to showcase new findings and reports from Papahanaumokuakea, a national monument off the coast of Hawaii. My role involved managing the images and content given to me by researchers, and converting it into visually appealing posts that would educate the public on the conservation efforts for marine life.
